Hello Beloved Friends,
It seems like Christmas comes earlier each year, attempting to erase Thanksgiving entirely! With all of the planning, preparing, to-do lists and have-to-get-it-done activities, it is important to keep a proper perspective; focusing on the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Though turkey, pie, football, and family are fun, I propose that Thanksgiving is not simply giving thanks and gratitude for what you have or even counting your blessings, but a realization that you are deeply loved and cherished! With that love comes Jehovah Jireh, the God Who Sees to It; the one who takes care of all your needs, watches over you always and lovingly guides you along your journey through life. So, whether you are with a house full of people or find yourself sitting alone staring at an empty table, you can still have the greatest Thanksgiving Day ever, knowing that you celebrate with the One who loves you because of who you are, not what you have done. As you bow your head in honor of the provision, rest in the knowledge that you are cared for and looked after, loved with an everlasting unrelenting love, release your worries about the future and enjoy the day knowing that ‘He is seeing to it all’. Be blessed, know your great worth, that you belong and have an incredible purpose!
With the season of Hope right around the corner, we would like you to join us in celebrating God’s promise kept during the month of December. Starting December 1st, we will begin each day with a random act of kindness and end each evening with a special story about the real meaning of Christmas.
